Altius Building Company and Revel Investments today announced the groundbreaking of The Broadacre in Oak Creek, a medium-density housing community of apartments and town homes located at 441 W. Ryan Road, adjacent to the Oak Creek Police Department and Municipal Building.
Sitting on 10.78 acres, The Broadacre will feature two- and three-story buildings with 118 units of one (56), two (54) and three (8) bedroom units. Rents will range from $1,575 – $2,950 a month. Pre-leasing will be available soon at www.broadacreliving.com.
The Broadacre exterior, designed by AG Architecture, will feature a single-family home aesthetic with dormers and pitched roof to complement nearby municipal buildings while the interior will have a modern farmhouse feel with contemporary, yet classic elements, appealing to young professionals, families and Baby Boomers who are downsizing and selling homes that they lived in for years.
With a focus on nature, The Broadacre will include an expansive outdoor area featuring pickle ball courts, dog park, playground, interactive cascading water steps, community gardens, community patio with grilling station, a ¾ mile walking path and fire pit.
There will also be a freestanding clubhouse with community room and kitchen, fitness center, package room and management office. Underground heated parking, a rooftop solar system and Level-2 electric car charging stations are also planned.
“The Broadacre is our second collaboration with our partners at Altius Building Company and we’re eager to start the construction process. The project’s name is a nod to the term ‘broadacre’ which means farming large areas of land. We wanted to highlight the natural surroundings which was all farmland at one time yet find a way to meet the modern-day needs and wants of people who enjoy living in Oak Creek,” said Steve Pape, Managing Partner at Revel Investments.
“We’re excited to co-develop the Broadacre with our partners at Revel Investments to provide apartments and townhouses in Oak Creek. Our market research shows just how desirable a place Oak Creek is to live and we hope to set ourselves apart with family-friendly offerings and amenities like the playground and dog park. With the Oak Creek Police Department next-door, there is an added element of safety. Our goal is to keep families in Oak Creek longer while also encouraging new people to the area,” stated Jonathan K. Ward, Vice President of Development Integration at Altius Building Company.
