Altius Building Company’s Snow is a Women in Construction Honoree

Altius Building Company announced today that Director of Marketing and Project Coordinator, Dorothy Snow, has received the Daily Reporter’s Top Women in Construction honoree designation.

Dorothy has worked within the A/E/C industry since 1997 (26 years). Upon graduating from UW-Milwaukee with a BBA-Marketing, she started working as a marketing assistant for Plunkett Raysich Architects. She quickly climbed the career ladder to VP of Marketing, spending 10 years in that position alone. She moved onto working for a SDVOSB that included engineering and then moved onto commercial real estate and property management with Wangard Partners for about five years. She switched gears to work briefly for a local roofing consulting company and then reunited with Scott Drees at Altius Building Company in August of 2020.

Throughout her career, she has also been a partner in her husband’s rough and finish carpentry business (Oak Tree Construction, Inc.). A company focused on high-end, single-family residential projects. The company has been in business since 1992 and it has been thriving in recent years. For her, the ability to work for Altius Building Company has been a complete career circle…one that connects with her former colleagues throughout the industry, it allows her creative/strategic freedom, it is a working family, and yet is also a client of her own private capital venture.

Agility is key in this industry as is creativity – coming up with the next tactic or strategy is exhilarating.
